Did Aye Sea That Rite?

I was watching the news this afternoon on our local CBS affiliate, KWTX-TV when they posted the following Burn Ban notice:

Now, either they were in a hurry to get it on the air or .... well, they were not paying any attention.

1st-"limestone" should be capitalized. After all, it is the name of a nearby county-Limestone County.

2nd-"McClennan" is not a county in Texas. perhaps they meant McLennan County.

3rd-I have never heard of "ariel" fireworks. "Lion of God" fireworks may sound good, but I don't think that is what they meant. Again perhaps, AERIAL fireworks is more in order.

Way to go Channel 10!

PS-In their defense Channel 10 is not alone in their....hmmm....eggcorn or just plain misspellings. Witness this by viewing the many other uses found by Google for "Ariel Fireworks".

And Now, Something A Little Different

I have often been amused by certain words and terms. I mean sometimes they just don't sound right.

I went to the grocery store the other day and tried to go through the "self-check out" lane and saw a sign on the scanner that said, "OUT OF ORDER".

What did that mean?

Should I have done something else first?

Would it work if somebody brought some "ORDER" to it?

That's along the same line as when someone says. "It's out of whack!

"WHAT???

Out of whack? Why I've never seen any whack. (And if I had, I don't think I'd tell anyone!) I suppose it's too simple to say, "AIN'T WORKIN'!"

But that leads us down another road. "AIN'T" Some people say that "AIN'T" ain't a proper word to use.

Excuse me!!!! Some people say "AIN'T" isn't a proper word to use.

Well for a word that's not proper, it's sure been around for a while. Since 1685 to be exact, more or less. And think of all the people that have used it, besides me. Sojourner Truth gave a speech entitled, "Ain't I A Woman?" Lewis Carroll used "AIN'T" in his "Through The Looking Glass" as did Al Jolsen in the Jazz Singer. The use of the word "AIN'T" even cropped up in the last presidential election when Sarah Palin used it during the vice presidential debate and Barack Obama used it during his speeches on the stump to say, "That ain't right!"

And lest we forget, Bugs Bunny's, "Ain't I a stinker?"

Picture Monday, December 29, 2008

While researching some pictures taken earlier this year I came across a few that I wanted to share on this final Picture Monday of 2008. The first picture is a picture I took of the Texas flag one afternoon this summer. I took this picture around 6:00 PM on this particular afternoon. I was facing east and there was a stiff breeze blowing out of the north. I wanted to get the flag with the sun setting behind it so that the flag would appear to glow when the sun shone through it. The only problem with this was the flag would appear backwards with the star on the right-hand side. Afterwards I came home and reversed the image and then enhanced the background glow to get a better effect. I liked the result.

The picture below was taken before the Texas A&M vs. Baylor game this year. The US Army Air National Guard flew these 3 Apache helicopters over the field prior to the game. The landed at the TSTC airfield and came to the game. Later the pilots were honored by the crowd with a rousing ovation.

At the same A&M vs. Baylor game there was a star sitting near me. I took his picture. This is Bill Young from the local CBS affiliate, KWTX-TV Channel 10. He seemed to try to keep a low profile. I was impressed with his sunglasses. Look at the D&G on the side. The letters appear to be Green and Gold, the Baylor colors.

I told my daughter, "He must have found those at Dollar General! See the DG on the side."

Julie said, "No Dad! Those are Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses!"

"Is that better than Dollar General?"

"Yes Dad! That's better than Dollar General!"

You learn something new everyday!

Santa Claus' Punch and Judy

My haven't things changed in the last 60 years! I came across this old Christmas film from 1948. Children then enjoyed much simpler toys and entertainment. Society was much less obsessed with being "Politically Correct". Sit back and enjoy the entertainment.

The Night After Christmas Morn; A Reprise

'Twas the night after Christmas morn, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

The stockings and such lay on the floor in a mess,
In hopes that it would surely not block our egress;

The children were playing all snug in their room,
While visions of new games danced in their heads I presume;

And momma in her finest, and I in my finer,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap in my recliner,

When out in the den there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the recliner to see what was the matter.

Away to the hallway I flew in a rush,
Tore open the doors and stood with a blush.

The light on the breast of the new-fallen tree
Gave the lustre of calamity to the objects I see,

When, what to my wondering eyes should materialize,
But 7 cats from the branches, "What am I to surmise?"

With a mischievous leader, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be Mister and his sidekicks.

More rapid than eagles his cohorts in crime came,
And I fussed and I yelled, and called them by name;

"Now, Peanut! now, Tabby! now, Callie and Boo!
On, Mister! on Rory! and now Bristow, you too!

To the top of the chair! To the end of the hall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild tornado fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, they jump to the sky,

So to the end of the hallway the cohorts they flew,
With an ornament of catnip, and a candy cane too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard Grandma quite clear,
She was scolding each cat, each scofflaw that was near.

As I drew up my hand, and was turning around,
Down the hallway Mister came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his tail,
It was all tarnished with the pine needles that fell;

A bundle of toys he had in his mouth,
As he looked like a tramp, beginning to head south.

His eyes -- how they twinkled! His tail was so comic!
His nose started to twitch as his whiskers he did flick!

His curious eyes were drawn down the hall,
He squinted and stared at his apparent downfall;

The bundle of toys he held tight in his teeth,
By my feet he stopped and left them beneath;

As if to leave an offering of peace,
An apology for being so caprice.

He stood regal and erect, a right stately old cat,
And I laughed when I saw him, as away he did scat;

A twinkle in his eye and a twist of his tail,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to bewail;

He made not a sound, but went straight to our room,
And started to refresh; and also to groom,

And laying himself down upon the furniture,
He gave us all a nod, and started for to purr;

He opened his eyes, to his cohorts gave a mew,
And away they all flew with barely an adieu.

But I heard him exclaim, ere he nodded off contrite,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night."

Picture Monday, December 22, 2008

Picture Monday today is all about testing a video that I made for Julie this Christmas. I wrote a poem for her and her kitten, Bristow. The poem is based on The 12 Days of Christmas. After authoring the video I posted it on YouTube. That is the video in today's blog. The only problem is that some of the formatting did not stay with the video in the final product. I will be working on this glitch, but for now here is the video.

Here is the list showing the 12 gifts:

12 Posts for Scratching,
11 Sprigs of Catnip,
10 Beds for Sleeping,
9 Windows for sunning,
8 Ribbons waving,
7 Fish a-swimming,
6 Mice for Playing,
5 Pounds of Cat Food,
4 Kitty Snacks,
3 Sachet Fresheners,
2 Litter Strainers,
And a Bag of Kitty Litter, Dust Free.

HO, HO, HO...More Christmas Fun!!!

Gee! I wish had posted this earlier.

There is still time for you send that email to Santa, even though Christmas is 3 days away. Santa will reply even while making his rounds. I think he has a Blackberry or an iPhone or something so that he can text and email from his sleigh. Apparently Santa knows where all the dead zones are and stays away from them.

Check out Email Santa Claus. It's a great site for you and the kids. Be careful though, you may spend too much time there and forget to finish your holiday shopping.

Confidentially.....I found out that I was still on the Nice List. Imagine that!

Oh, while I'm thinking about it, you need to know that NORAD still tracks Santa Claus. After all, we don't want to mistake him for a nuclear missile gone wild. Here is a video and a link to the NORAD Tracks Santa site. Pick your language and enjoy. (The video is on the Norad site).

Here is another fun site: Sfeervol Nederland. It is Dutch and I can't read much of it. The page title very roughly translates to Attractive(ly) Netherlands. It probably is closer to Netherlands Holidays or something similar judging from the content.

Perhaps one our many friends from The Netherlands can help me with the translation.I like the page because on the left hand side of the opening page there is a link to various Christmas web cams and I have spent all day exploring them.

It is amazing to sit in your bedroom and visit the world through these web cams and experience the holidays with so many. I can imagine this must be how the first shortwave radio enthusiasts felt when they spoke to people half way around the world.

AMAZING!

Mr. Bungle and My Classroom

Today was the last day of school before the Christmas holidays.

Finally, a chance to have 2 weeks of peace and quiet. No kids, except the occasional grandchild.

So, what do I do?

I go straight home and watch films about school. And not just any film, but a film about manners. Manners in the lunch room no less!

Give it a go. It's really kinda good, in a.... strange sort of way.

Oh, by the way. I disabled the autoplay on the video. This way it won't play until you are ready for it to. So be sure to press the play button.

Contrary to popular belief the students in my classroom were not used in the filming of this mini-epic. It was filmed approximately 50 years ago. I know this because of the generic school house type of asphalt tile used for the flooring. It looks like the tile that was used then. I know this because I was 3 years old at the time and was very well acquainted with the floor. I spent a lot of time there. The copyright notice gave a little clue also. The copyright notice gave a little clue also.

Anyway, it seems that Miss Brown's class could certainly be confused for my class. I mean, did you see how well behaved those children were? Just like my class of kindergartners, in my dreams.

Then when Phil went to the Boy's Room I knew that it had to be my class because of the massive amount of soap that he used while performing this important task of pre-lunch hygiene. However, I realized it could not have been my class when Phil used only one paper towel.

You see, my class thinks that paper towels grow on trees.

Oh, wait! They do, sort of.

Anyway, my class thinks that it is a good idea to recycle used paper, so they try to use massive amounts in order to show others that they are recycling.

Then, on his way out of the Boy's Room, Phil had to stop and comb his hair. It looked like he was combing the fuzz on a peach.

Later in the cafeteria good ol' Phil must have been one thirsty camper. Did you notice how his milk carton kept changing from Meadow Gold to Pet Milk? At least three times.

And while we're in the cafeteria, did you catch that hunk of cake? I've never seen a piece of cake that big at any school I've been in. Obviously I've been in the wrong schools for cake.

Obviously!

Little Surprises are the Best Surprises

I was not planning a post for today. However, I awoke at my normal 5:30 AM and received a surprise. While I was getting ready for work (showering, shaving, etc.) Chris came in and told me that the school start was delayed due to the cold weather. Apparently there was enough freezing rain and/or sleet to ice up the bridges and cause the buses to run late. Consequently, time to post.

Now a surprise for you, a letter from Santa.

Well not exactly a letter from Santa from me; just a link to where you can print one. It is located at DLTK.com.

Here it is: Print your own Santa Letter.

Picture Monday, December 15, 2008

We have a potpourri of pictures for Picture Monday on this fine and wonderful day in hopes of catching you up on a few events that have taken place since the last far away post.

Above and below: Jeremy Wariner et al. They came back home to good ol' BU for Homecoming 2008; or as the Noble NoZe Brotherhood lovingly refer to it, Come Homing.

Below we have a few representatives of the Noble NoZe Brothers and the equally noble, Poppa Rollo's Pizza firetruck carrying a few more said NoZe Brothers.

Below is a Big Bear in the air. Unfortunately Baylor lost their Homecoming game with Missiouri.

The Aggie Corp of Cadets prepare to march during the half time extravaganza of the BU vs. TAMU game.

The scoreboard of the BU vs. TAMU game. Looks like Baylor won this one.

Hey, that must be an outstanding teacher reading to the crowd at Barnes & Noble in Waco. Well, not quite a crowd. More like 5 kids, one of which is my grandson. That must be him next to me.

It's ALIVE.............

Yes, the blog is alive again. I have been absent for quite some time. Actually I have been busy for quite some time. For some reason this school year has been particularly busy. The Christmas holidays are beginning to roll around and things are actually beginning to ease up a little. I suppose that I might address some of the goings on in my recent world later. First and foremost, yours truly was selected as Outstanding Teacher at Brook Avenue Elementary School for the 2008-2009 school year.

Don't believe me! Follow this link to the Waco ISD website.

More later!

Baylor 38 - Iowa State 10

Just got a new phone last week.

Sony Ericsson W580i.

I took it to the Baylor-Iowa State game last night. I took Julie too.

I decided to try out the video feature during the game. I recorded the second half kick-off.

The kick-off turned out to be a return by Baylor's Mikail Baker for a touch down. The 93 yard gallop gave Baylor a 28-3 lead with just 18 ticks off the clock in the 3rd quarter.

Sic-em Bears; and they did.

38-10

I was looking at the stats this morning.

In the Big 12 there are 6 teams in the Top 25. That's 50%. Now listen to this. At the end of the 7th week of the season and the 2nd week of Big 12 play, Baylor is not in the cellar. Guess who is. After 2 weeks in the Big 12 play Nebraska, Colorado, and Texas A&M are all 0-2. Baylor is climbing the stairs out of the cellar. They have a lot of help though. In Big 12 play Baylor and OU (Hmmm!) are both 1-1 and tied for 5th place in the conference. I'm happy; Baylor won last night and I spent a great evening with my daughter.

In addition to all of that I got the big kick-off return on my phone. The resolution is a little rough and my hand was shaky from the excitement but here it is from YouTube.

Potpourri or A Little of This and a Little of That

I hate allergies.

I don't know what blew in, but I wish it would blow out.

Yesterday was not a particularly good day. I must have gone through a box of Kleenex and several allergy pills. When this happens to me I get cranky. I was cranky at school yesterday. I am sure the kids thought I was cranky.Today has got to be better. This weekend has got to be better. Baylor has a bye week so I don't have to worry about going out to a football game. The Heart of Texas Fair does not start till next week. I still have time to get better and get rid of this. If I don't get rid of it maybe I'll get used to it.

Tutoring starts in a few weeks. The kindergarten teachers need to get together to determine which students should attend tutoring. We also got our schedules on Wednesday. I have been assigned to tutor 5th grade.

Wow! What a switch. Spend all day with my kindergartners and then head upstairs and spend an hour with 5th grade. That's a 5-6 year jump in a matter of minutes.

The neighbor across the street called the other day. He wanted to know where we picked up our campaign sign. After the remnants of Ike blew through his signs were gone. He had them placed along his frontage with the road. He had placed several about every one-quarter mile. It looked good. I'm not sure if the wind blew them down or if they were "taken" down. I noticed yesterday that he had a new sign up. This time it was placed next to his driveway.

Say Again...,Again

In an earlier post "Say Again..." I mentioned a tendency of mine to hear what is not said.

It happened again today during training after school. Prior to our session one of my coworkers was finishing lunch. Another coworker mentioned, "I can smell your onions."

That is not what I heard. I am not going to say what I heard. I knew my coworker would not say this particular thing, but yet I thought I heard it.

Later in the afternoon I mis-heard again. This time the same coworker was cleaning up the table and asked me, "Are you through with your bottle?"

And what did I hear you ask?

My ears told me I heard, "Are you through with your BODY?"

"No, I'm still using it. It's not ready for recycling yet!"

A Man of Letters, Sort Of!

Does anyone out there use a Logitech G15 keyboard?

I use one and for the most part I love it. My keyboard is an older model G15. I've had it for probably 5 or 6 years. It has a blue back lit keyboard so I can use it at night and not disturb my wife by having the lamp on. It has 54 Macro enabled keys which allows me to have tons of shortcuts. It has multi-media controls on it along with a flip-up LCD screen which gives a variety of information.

There is so much to like about it. However, there is one thing I don't like. Many of the keys are beginning to wear through. Actually the black paint is rubbing off and the blue back light is shining through in all of it's glorious blue. The "E", "R", and "T" keys are basically a blob of light if you can envision light being a blob. The U, I, O, A, S, F, J, N, M, and Space Bar are also beginning to show definite signs of wear.

One day last summer I wrote the company to inquire as to the availability of replacement keys. Apparently Logitech has no replacement keys. Silly me! I just thought someone could pop down to the assembly line pick out the keys I needed and send them my way.

Life is just simply not that easy.

I was assured that they could replace the keys IF I sent them the keyboard, AND the keyboard was within the warranty period.

First, the keyboard is 5+ years old. I strongly suspect it IS out of warranty. Perhaps I could go to the "warranty" store and by some more and fill it up. Secondly, send the keyboard back?? And just what do I use in the meantime? It would be easier to simply buy a new one which is exactly what I don't want to do. The new ones are not the same as mine; plus, there's nothing wrong with mine except the keys.

I did buy a keyboard at Target yesterday. Brought it home and looked at it. I took it back a few hours later. I just couldn't bring my self to actually spend $75 for the keyboard just to get 13 keys.

Let's see, that's about $5.77 per key.

Perhaps I'll write Logitech again. If I bug them enough perhaps they'll send me a bag full of letters one day.

Loose Training???

Autumn, Day 2.

More training.

This time it is Science training. The district is implementing a new science program called Loose In the Labs. I am attending a training of trainers session. After the training today i will need to train the other Kindergarten teachers on our campus how to properly use the kits and the lab materials.

This training thing could actually be pretty good. I went to training one day last week and taught for four days. This week I have training today and Early Release tomorrow. Three and a half days teaching and one and a half going to training. Not bad.

I don't know what I'll do next week. No training and five days teaching.

It'll work. It's a job and I love it.

Picture Monday, September 22, 2008

I was going through a couple of picture boxes yesterday and found some old vacation pictures. I could tell they were old because they are so grainy. I could also tell they are old because they say "1961" on them.

In the summer of 1961 we took a vacation to California. While there we went to Disney Land, Yosemite National Park, and San Francisco among other places. I seem to remember Knott's Berry Farm but I never found any pictures to prove it.

I suppose the picture above is a general crowd shot at Disney Land. This area reminds me of one of the boat rides. I was five years old at the time and I remember wanting to ride this boat but we had to wait. While waiting, I was climbing around and generally being mischievous. Yes, I was a touch on the mischievous side in my younger years. While climbing and cavorting I accidentally kicked my dad in the head. You see I was climbing on the netting and hand rails and my dad was sitting. Let's say that my dad was less than pleased with my behavior and he certainly wasted no time in letting this displeasure be felt.

I also really wanted to ride the Dumbo ride. We didn't have tickets for that and to this day I haven't ridden the Dumbo ride.

No, I'm sure I didn't kick my dad in the head because I couldn't ride the Dumbo ride.

This is a picture of my brother and who knows what he is standing with. My brother is the one on the left without a hat.

Ahhh! This is me, the skinny fellow next to one of the Three Pigs. I remember this pig vividly. I was sure that he was wearing a costume and was determined to prove it. I tugged on his snout and his ears. That is certainly why he has his arm to the side; holding me at bay while trying to be civil since my parents were snapping a picture of the whole scene.

My brother and I on top of a boulder or rock, or other mineral outcropping in Yosemite National Park. Fortunately my brother didn't push me over the edge.

I'm not sure who this is, but I think it is near one of the falls at Yosemite. That might be me in the shorts and possibly my sister to the right. Who knows?

This is my mom in front of a house in San Francisco. Why?? I don't really know. This is the sort of thing people do on vacation. Take a few pictures of family members in front of places that you will soon forget what it is or where it is. Especially some forty some odd years later. Maybe this was simply a snapshot that was taken to set up an alibi. NAHHHH! My mom wasn't that kind of person.

Slowly Back To Normal

All is well in Houston. Or at least, all is as well as can be expected.

I finally spoke with my brother last night who lives in Houston. He lives in the general vicinity of the Gulf Freeway and the South Belt Tollway. This was near the approximate path of the eye wall of Hurricane Ike. I would say probably within 7-8 miles west of where the eye wall passed.

His family decided to stay at the house which was boarded up and sealed up as best as he could get it. The reporters at KHOU who covered the storm in the Galveston - Houston area referred to this as "hunkering down". I suppose my brother and his family were "hunkering down".

Lance said they lost power around 11:00 PM on the night (Friday, September 12, 2008) the hurricane began to approach the area. The electricity was turned on Friday night the 19th. One week. He was so excited that the cable was on he checked e-mail and watched a movie until 2:00 AM. Pam was tired and went to sleep.

Lance was looking forward to getting up early on Saturday morning in order to tend to untended business on the computer. (Read that as checking on and paying bills again.) He went to the computer; no Internet. He went to the TV; no cable. AAARGHHH! Now it was off to Kari's house with the laptop to take advantage of the Internet.

I suppose the worst thing that happened was my brothers fence blew down courtesy of the near constant hurricane force winds for several hours straight on Friday night and early Saturday morning. There were also a few lost shingles but not much else. No flooding fortunately.

My brother is now retired living a life of leisure. Pam still teaches math in Clear Creek ISD. She learned that her buildings roof was torn off and many classrooms flooded; probably her own. Clear Creek will not be ready for teachers until Friday, September 26 and students returning the next Monday. Under this situation I don't think a 12+ day vacation at the the beginning of the year is very enjoyable.

Lance said his family made the decision to stay because the storm was only a Category 2 and they did not think it would be as bad as Alicia many years ago. They stayed in Houston for Alicia and the eye wall passed over their house. He told me that he remembered walking out and looking at the calm blue sky. Didn't happen this time around.

Having said all of this all things in their world are slowly returning to normal.

Just A Minute Please!

I was thinking for a minute last night. I got tired of thinking and went to bed.

Then I thought for a few more minutes about the minute that I spent thinking earlier. Then I slept on it.

Here is the result of my minute sleep.

I was thinking of different "minute" items; like Minute Steak, Minute Rice, and Minute Maid.

I looked. It takes 75 minutes to make Minute Steak. ???? I guess Minute Steak sounded better than 75 Minute Steak or 1 hour and 15 Minute Steak.

Minute Rice isn't always a minute. Most of the time it is 5 minute rice. That is unless you're making the Ready To Serve variety in the microwave. In that case it is minute rice; provided you only want to have 1 cup. If you want 2 cups you'll have to settle for 90 second rice.

Then there's Minute Maid. I still can't figure that one out. Just what did this maid do in one minute?

By know my curiosity had been piqued; as well as my hunger. I found some One and a Half Minute Cookies which obviously take longer than one and half minutes to make or cook. It seems they got their name from the fact that one minute and thirty seconds is the ideal time to let the margarine, milk, sugar, and cocoa mixture boil that is required for the recipe.

Then you have the famous Three Minute Cookie. (I don't think they're really famous. I just thought it sounded good.) It takes longer than 3 minutes too. The recipe says "...less than 15 minutes." Imagine the proud hostess when her guests ask the name of her delicious cookies. "Oh those little things? Why they're just Less Than 15 Minute Cookies my dear. They're an old family recipe."

I also found One Minute Cookies, Two-Minute Cookies, and Wedding Dress 30 Minute Cookies. I'm not quite sure where the 30 minutes comes in with that wedding dress.Again no mention of 30 minues anywhere in the recipe. One nice thing is that "the edges of each cookie were nicely browned in five." I suppose Wedding Dress 30 Minute Cookies sounds more "wedding" like or some other such nonsense like that.

The last recipe? You guessed it; Last Minute Cookies. What did you expect; Neiman -Marcus Cookies or something?

It's Going To Be A Beautiful Day

I don't go to work today.

I have to go to training.

I have been selected as a "designated diabetic trained" representative for our campus. It happens that since our campus does not have a full-time nurse we must have personnel trained to deal with students that may be diabetic. This includes training in testing, giving insulin injections, and all of the various side effects and symptoms.

This is all well and good. I understand the need for training of personnel. This is serious. Especially when a young child's well-being is at stake. I understand why I was selected to be part of the designated diabetic team. After all I am just across the hall from the nurse's office which makes it handy for me to have access to the supplies.

What I don't understand is why I have to go to the training. After all, I am a diabetic. I know how to test. I know how to determine the correct amount of insulin needed and how to inject. I know how to test for ketones.

Oh well.

I suppose I'll look on the bright side. I have a day away from class. I don't have to get up as early. I get to go home earlier than normal and I will be closer to home. I will also have longer for lunch.

Now the down side. I had to prepare for a substitute. This is a real pain because you have to over prepare and plan.

It's still going to be a great day to be alive though and I am a happy man. Have a great day. I plan on having one.

Beautiful

It's amazing the difference a couple of days makes. A hurricane came through and on it's heels a welcome cool front settled into Central Texas. All this in the middle of September.

Hurricane Ike blew through on Saturday and pretty much was out of the way on Sunday and helped to pull the cool front down our way. For the past several weeks the temps were in the 90's for highs. Especially prior to the hurricane.

Sometimes it felt like we were in Arizona.

Yesterday the high was in the 80's. That's downright cool according to our standards; especially with that nice dry northeren breeze. The low last night was in the 50's.

Brrrrr! Chilly weather, but it's nice on the AC bill.

Picture Monday, September 15, 2008

I had been taking pictures with my cell phone at the previous two Baylor games. The picture stunk. This past Friday I took the old camera with me to the Baylor football game. I snapped several pictures. Here are a few that I like from the night.
This is the scoreboard. DUH!!
The field some time before kickoff. Also sometime before many fans came. Kick-off was at 7:30 PM. This was about 6:15 PM.
It was Friday night. This is a light. I suppose you could say this is one of the Friday night lights.
This is the bottom of the light standard looking down from the top of the stadium.
Baylor punting on 4th down. I caught the ball prior to the punt.
Scoreboard at the end of the game. Baylor defeated Washington State, 45-17.
